Our Story
Designed for Connection
Perched high on the Flat Tops ridge overlooking the rolling hills of Dungog, there is a quietness here that can’t be designed. It’s found in the morning mist drifting through the valley, the warmth of the afternoon sun across the veranda, and the endless night skies that remind you how small—and how connected—we really are.
When we first arrived at this property, we knew we weren’t simply restoring a homestead. We were preserving a feeling.
Three years in the making. A farm stay unlike anything in the Hunter Valley.
We believe the most memorable moments aren’t carefully scheduled—they unfold naturally.
Every space at Tara Hill has been thoughtfully designed to bring people together while still allowing moments of quiet retreat. Because true luxury isn’t about excess. It’s about feeling completely present with the people who matter most.
Tara Hill is one of those places.
Our vision was never to create another luxury accommodation. Instead, we wanted to build a boutique farm stay that felt refined without being formal, luxurious without ever losing its warmth. A place where beautifully considered design sits naturally within the landscape, where guests feel immediately at home, and where the greatest luxury is having time together.
